1. Documentary recommendation: An Insignificant Man. If you’re curious to know a little more about the Indian political system, watch this film. It’s about Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Common Man’s Party and his effort to challenge the corruption of the existing leadership in Delhi. It’s a fascinating insight into the forces that govern the country we’re living in and the biggest documentary feature to ever come out of India. You can watch the whole film on Vice’s YouTube channel here.
3. If you have clothes, shoes, or books you no longer need, drop them off at the Share Happiness Kiosk! On the way to Shilparamam Market there is a stall on the footpath, marked by bright red, yellow, blue, and green painted bottles that is welcoming any donations. Instead of just throwing things out, take a ten minute walk along HiTech City Road and leave some things in the boxes there for people who could really use them.
5. A cafe rec to finish this week’s edition: 84 Anjuna Shack. This is a laid-back little space about a ten minute drive from home. Out the front, they have low tables where you sit on pillows on the floor. Inside, a bunch of tables surrounded by bookshelves and a bunch of art. Good wifi, plenty of outlets, and a lovely place to spend a little time. You can find it here.
